Post Moves For a Stretch 4

Here is a 90 second video that will demonstrate four basic post moves for an undersized post player that possesses a soft shooting touch and a quickness advantage against most defenders.
Notice that the player is using an 'inside pivot' every time he catches the pass. Because he is typicaly being guarded by players who are 4-6 inches taller than he is, by facing the basket, the defender has to respect his ability to drive the ball.
The first move is a simple jump shot. The ability to knock this shot down on a consistent basis sets up the other counter moves. After making a jump shot or two, when the defender see's him face the rim, he must respect that and be close enough to contest the jump shot. This sets up his dribble drive move. We have him drive the ball to the baseline and work on his reverse layup where he can use the rim to protect his shot from being blocked against the longer, taller defender. The third move is a counter to the dribble drive. Again, the player faces up his defender and attacks him off the dribble to the baseline, however, this time he will use his stepback move to create just enough space to shoot an uncontested jump shot. Last but not least, the fourth move is a jump hook to the middle of the floor. A jump hook, if executed with the proper extension, is a difficult shot to block regardless of your size and the length of the defender. Notice how the player gives a 'half-turn' to the baseline to make the defender think he is going to execute a full spin move.
